NFC ReTag 2.24.01-FREE

Re-use and recycle NFC tags that are write protected, such as hotel key-cards, access badges, price tags, lift cards, key fobs, and more. This app allows you to associate multiple functions to an NFC tag through an internal database. Functions include turning WLAN off, turning Bluetooth on, toggling mobile data, starting navigation, running Tasker tasks, starting any installed app, using media buttons, calling a phone number, adding a timestamp and calendar entry, and using Text-to-Speech, among others. You can even set tag cycles to run different activities per scan. ReTag is the ultimate NFC automation tool for your needs.

This app works with any Android-supported tag, whether it is re-writable or write-protected. With NFC ReTag, you don't have to write anything on the tag as it uses the tag ID. This is great for small tag sizes and write-protected tags. Additionally, no data is sent to the internet. The app also offers additional write options for better dispatching and device independent tags. Importing activity tags and beaming is also supported.

You can combine any activities/actions and add as many activities and cycles as you want per tag (except for writing activity tags which depends on tag size). For better performance and dispatching, it is recommended to write a special NFC ReTag tag (not an activity tag).

Available activities include device settings such as setting the ringer (silent/vibrate/normal), ringer volume, music volume, alarm volume, brightness, auto sync, auto rotate, display timeout, and stay on while loading. There are also wireless & network settings such as WLAN, Bluetooth, airplane mode, WiFi hotspot connection, WiFi SSID connection, and mobile data. You can start and launch apps/activities, control music, navigate to a specific address or website, execute Tasker tasks, enable car mode, dial or call a phone number, set alarms and timers, add calendar entries, make timestamps, use Text-to-Speech, launch secret codes, navigate to the home screen, show pop-ups, add new SSIDs, say the current time, launch app activities, enable Bluetooth discoverability, set default ringtones and tones, use GPS, execute advanced Tasker tasks, and broadcast ReTag for third-party apps

Additional features include unique tag cycles for different scan sequences, writing/importing NFC ReTag activity tags, beaming activity cycles, writing special NFC ReTag tags for better dispatching, writing Smarttags (Green, Blue), backing up/importing the database, disabling NFC ReTag background dispatching, saving tags as templates, supporting placeholders (e.g. [%UID], [%DAT]), Bluetooth and WiFi triggers, and many more functionalities.

There is a free version of the app with limited number of tags and an ad-free PRO version available. It is recommended to check if the app works on your phone through the free version before downloading the PRO version.

The app supports any standard Android NFC tags (NFC Forum Type 1, Type 2, Type 3, Type 4 etc.).

For issues related to TASKER: Please install Tasker before NFC ReTAG and enable Misc/Allow External Access in Tasker UI. Then, enable Tasker by using the on/off button and try the fallback option within NFC ReTag settings.

Note: This app will not work with certain security-related NFC tags (e.g. in passports) that change their ID on every read attempt.
